| Whether
linked in elaborate schemes or strategically positioned
alone to frame a vista, the arch, in all its many forms,
is a traditional garden feature, which has evolved since
renaissance times. When
designed to form part of a sequence of arches, they
are referred to as tunnel arbours and arches in straight-line
become arcades.
Arches,
which stand-alone or form part of a larger structure
are often used as a plant support, although this use
was not truly popularised until early in the 19th
century. The classic rose arch has remained relatively
unchanged in design since Victorian times.
Our modular
rose arches are hand-crafted from durable Iroko hardwood
that is virtually maintenance-free, leaving climbing
plants to remain undisturbed for many years.
With
a choice of three classic designs - Tudor Gothic Rose
Arch, Gothic Rose Arch and Classical Rose Arch, stylish
schemes can be created with any combination of products
from our range of modular trellis components.
